My brother has a WW II "bring back." It is marked Fabrique National Darmes Deguerre, Herstal Belgique. It has all matching serial numbers and the pistol is stamped with the German eagle and Swastika. He has the German Holster for it and an extra magazine. The magazines are not serial numbered to the pistol.

No, I do not have a picture of it, but the barrel is very clean and the pistol is in very good condition. My brother got it about ten years ago.

Anyone have any idea what the GENERAL Ball Park worth of it might be??

Thank you.

L.W.

Belgian workers at the factory, while under German occupation, weren’t eager to do their best work. That’s what I’ve read, and it makes sense. Still historically very interesting.

You might call Simpsons Limited, or visit their website to see if they have anything comparable. Such pistols, with the markings you describe, have a collector following that may drive up the value regardless of the mechanical qualities of the pistol.

Thank you for that site. I checked it and they had one but with a poor finish. Still sold for a bundle.

In decent condition, it´s worth some $$$.

Sabotaging was hardly done before 1943, rather 1944, if ever. That was mostly a myth. Rather a general decline of quality.

There are ( IIRC ) 3 Kinds of WaA Numbers … WaA 140 being the most common one? The early ones being more $$$. ( WaW 613? I have to look it up )
