Used to a bit. Even had a replica of Elmer Keith's made with the Cape Buffalo over Africa by Sid Bell originals.
There are really cool ones out there

Western thing. Won't see them much here.

Only guy I knew to wear one kept a mullet on his head.

The New Mexico legislature deemed them acceptable with formal attire. So here you can wear one with your tux and fit right in. Just moved here and now I have to find matching bolo slide and cuff links.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Being as the NM legislature deemed it so, and knowing what is elected to the NM legislature, I double down on my refusal to ever wear one now.

When I worked at the Nevada Test Site the scientists and engineers from Los Alamos NL and Sandia NL commonly wore bolo ties and cheap cowboy hats. The bolos usually had scorpions in acrylic or turquoise in the clasp. Strange people. mike r

Yes, I have a nice bolo tie and wear it once in a while.
Funerals and such.
The other times I dress up I have a couple of regular neck ties. One is a woolen tie from New Zealand make of Williams Tartan out of respect for my father in law.
I am MAGA.

Same here, when ties are called for remember clip on Slim Jim, no need to provide a self tourniquet or hangman's noose.

I have 4 of them. While I rarely ever get dressed up enough to wear a "tie" now that I'm retired, I'll continue to wear one whenever I friggin feel like it! So much more artistic/individualistic than any swath of cloth the rest of the sheep are wearing. I know now what I'm wearing to any get-together with folks here! I remember attending a meeting once where the bully VP of one of the universities I worked for saw my bolo tie (a turquoise one with veins of gold and silver streaking through it surrounded by fancy silver work that day). He attempted to put me down in front of the rest of the group with the comment "What's the problem, can't afford a regular tie?" With a smile on my face I calmly/jokingly replied "I bet this tie cost 4 times that rag you're wearing". That shut him right up, he never messed with me again and we had a great relationship after that.

Perhaps I was wrong....the only thing nastier than a Bolo is a clip on tie, although both go nicely with leather fringe and snakeskin boots.
