I have no trouble single loading a T3.
If you cause the empty to fall back into the port though, It's a bugger to get it out.

.....and I can't understand why they went 24" on the 6.5CM. Glad I'm not the only one who has a problem with this.

They mentioned a while back that Tikkas were going up at the direction of Beretta. They didn't like it but had to as a dealer. I feel that Tikka is going to price themselves out of business.

It’s nice to think that they will price themselves out and then correct it but I’d imagine enough people will keep buying tikkas. They aren’t the value they used to be (my first one was 389.00) but at sportsman’s warehouse prices (750.00) and their sales (usually 650.00) there really is t much else to look at. Last summer sportsman’s had some awesome sales, I got my dad a blues T3X Lite in 6.5 for 499.00 and myself a superlite 6.5 for 649.00. Even for 649.00 it’s still a good value for what you get. I do wish I’d ordered a 300wsm from Whittaker’s when they were like 550.00. I really blew that opportunity, I’d also have pre ordered a t1x in 17hmr.

I bought my left handed t3x stainless from Whittakers for under $600. I wish I would have bought a couple other calibers for that price. Because they are around $850 now.

Barrel length is sure a stumbling block. My daughter has a creed with a 20" barrel. Drives me nuts. I hate to think what she is giving up compared to the 24" rifles. Loud too!
Then there is the 25/06. Good shooting rifle as Tikkas usually are. 22" barrel. Folks just can't say anything good about it. Seems it has to be 24" or its nothing but a long action 257 Roberts.
I'm of the long barrel mindset. My T3 270 is as good a deer rifle as I've ever owned. 22" barrel. Bugs me that I too might be giving up some speed. Then I go to Colorado and whack a Muley at 343 lasered yards. Dropped like sack of chit. It's just a hang up I know. But, I think long barreled rifles just feel right. Under most hunting conditions plus or minus 2" really means squat. It's what feels right in your hands that counts.
For the record. If I get a creedmoor I'm going to look for a 24". No particular reason.
As for T3 vs T3X, I like both. I hope to trade into a couple more T3s this weekend. Before the used market dries up.

Does the money exchange rate and trade tariffs have anything to do with price increases? I plan on buying a CTR in 6.5 with a 20" barrel after Christmas sometime.

I found a good sale for 6.5 compact T3x on grabagun , it was around $450 or $469. That’s if you want the 20” barrel and the shorter stock (it comes with a spacer) but if you plan to swap the stock then is no problem . Very handy rifle and it balances great, I have to figure out a scope for it now.

that is a great deal. I just bought an 8 twist 22 250 in the blued configuration for 559 shipped off of gunbroker. Seller had some other calibers at that price. kjergaardsports.com/
