I have. It is an excellent scope for backpacking. It weighs little. The optics are clear. Minox has an excellent warranty process/service. For the money, they are really hard to beat. I liked them better than my Vortex of the same configuration.

You can also look at the Kowa 50mm scope. I think you'll find it to be superior optically and for around $300.00 (call us) you'll be thrilled with it

The Kowa is a hell of a spotter for the money and weighs nothing

I tested the 50mm Minox a while back and liked it a lot. The new 50mm Kowa is a somewhat better spotter though.

For what it is worth, while it is in an entirely different price range the 55mm Kowa Prominar is just superb optically. One of the best I have ever seen in terms of correction.

I use the Minox as my range spotter, not afield as yet. Works well in that role. I think it was $200, plus about $30 for the nice little table-top tripod.

Better than the Vortex Razor HD 11-33x50?

I too have one that I use as a range spotter. Its small enough to fit in my range bag so it rides there.
