Does anyone have experience with this scope? How does it compare in hunting situations for long range viewing? Reliability? Is the ED noticable on these scopes?

Does this scope have a "fine" adjustment like the Zeiss?

looking for any thoughts

thanks

The Nikon Fieldscope is considered one of the best spotters made today. Bar none.

The ED element is noticeable but, only if you look for it. Many people who have not learned how to look for the differences would never see them "by accident." If you haven't learned this "skill" don't. It will only cause you grief and cost you money. I didn't heed this counsel when it was first given me and I now wish I had.

The Nikon scope does not have the "fine" adjustment knob. I don't know of very many scopes (other than the Zeiss) that do.

Awesome scope, I have used it for a few seasons now right next to my buddies Euro scopes, it is an awesome value for the money, I did not opt for the ED, and have no regrets in doing so. I have two eyepieces for it. I would only get the ED if you are going to be digiscoping. Also I am getting ready to purchase their new mini 50mm scope, the nice thing is I can interchance my eyepieces.
