After listening to the interview, I feel better about him than I did. He as much as said he didn't want to deal with D.C. any longer,...said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with people he wanted to be around.

Yep, being a former prosecutor [where one does have some power] I would surmise he knew he was essentially powerless as a congresscritter.
He hinted on several occasions how he felt about many of the politicians that he had no option but to work with.

Perhaps Gowdy believes the deep state is so corrupt,they will murder to keep their hold on power.Not for one minute do I believe the Clintons are the sole cretins responsible for all of their opponents apparent suicides and mysterious accidents.The deep state has committed these acts or at least covered for the Clintons.

This might explain the sudden change in attitude of some Supremes after being sworn in.This may be a plausible explanation as to why Sessions failed to act against people who had obviously violated the law.It also may explain why Mueller's special prosecutors act with such impunity. They know their fellow deep state crooks with a badge won't act against them.

He was a member of the House of representatives, not the DOJ and not a prosecutor.

He had Zero power to "DO" anything but talk and ask.

It was up to the House leadership to follow through with criminal referrals and what-not. That never happened and Gowdy had no power to change that.

Have to give Gowdy credit , for a few years there he had more views on youtube than any 3 rock-n-roll bands combined.
