I have a fresh canvas on my Honda Pioneer. Before I begin to drill holes or any other modifications, I would like to get an idea of what is truly necessary vs. creature comforts.

I know I'll be adding some LED flood's on the back & likely a good LED bar on the front. I already have the winch en route. It will be stowed in the back for use with hitch receivers as opposed to permanently mounted on the front. The UTV has a panel on the dash which currently has warning stickers on it. It is the prime location for a switch panel. How many switches are required for your various add-ons?

what did you buy that did not fit the need like you thought it would?

Just picked up a pioneer myself, first thing I did was a gun rack. Got a front floor mat and cargo mat. No real good tie down points on the back, so I picked up a hitch that had them and a ball.

On the Pioneer 700 I had, and the 1000 that I currently own, I added the following:

Good quality winch.
LED light bar and LED floods at rear.
Upgraded the tires (Muddy conditions at our camp)
Fold out windshield and rear windshield.
Hard roof.
USB ports inside for phone/drone charging etc.
Wiring harness for spreader and sprayer.
Trailer hitch ball.
On the to-do list:
Stick stoppers.
Undercarraige sliders.

I added almost the exact same items as badger to my 700-4.

Superwinch 4500 with nylon rope
LED light bar on front
LED flood in rear
Maxxis Bighorn 27s
Voltmeter/ USB charger
Dome light
Marine radio w/ 4 speakers
Hard Roof
1/2 Windshield
My switches are where the caution label was, and there are 6 of them.

PM if you want more info.

Winch and lights. I like a full cab for the cold weather that we get up here.

I bought my '12 RZR 800 used. It came with steel doors, hard top, full skid plate, and an aftermarket air filter. I've added a 2" lift, winch, snow plow, and a rear cage/spare tire carrier.
A 2" lift doesn't sound like much but our back roads are very rocky and it allows me to straddle a bunch of them. It's a big improvement.
So far, the only thing I've used the winch for is a snow plow.

Suregrips, I had a piece of black fence post cut and mounted it to the back of the headrests using quickfists, mounted the suregrips to that.
