You can kill a deer with a 22RFLR. I've done it several times using a spotlight. Way back in the day when I was still in high school. Wouldn't even try to do it now. It sure as hell don't take head shots or a spotlight to kill deer with a .357 carbine. You should stick to comments on things you know something about rather than talking out your ass.

just to keep the popcorn flowing, 25 years ago i needed some metal and met a local welder. we hit it off as he had a martini cadet in 357 and i had one i 32/20- 310 cadet. he has used that 357 every year since to get his elk. has an impressive wall of skulls with dead center between the eyes bullet holes. he has a trail behind his shop the elk use as if under order. sits on a stool and head shoots at 25-35 yards. 22, 25,9mm whatever, even my matchlock will kill under the right conditions.
as David points out hollyweird is allusion . i worked there in the early 80's and 99.9% of "ammo" is multi caliber blank's

Steve McQueen's mare leg in whatever his TV show was in the 50's was a 44-40. Just to lighten things up a bit - "Wanted: Dead or Alive" So which would you rather have, Mr. McQueens Mare's Leg 92 or Mr. Conner's trick lever 92?

And if anyone has to have one, it can be had for a nice Savage 99 in trade. If not, no biggie. Float it over across the St Mary's river and I'll send you back a nice 99.

Some things just aren't worth responding to Steve. When someone's head is that far up his ass his eyes and ears are usually plugged with excrement anyway.

the movie industry called those blanks 5 in1. Don't know what that terminology signified but they had ones that worked in 44-40. I understand those blanks ruined a lot of Model 92's.

It's all good Rick. Life is good in TN. I miss my Savages but Elwood is taking good care of them until I get a safe installed in my basement. Merry Christmas!
