I'd pay $800 up here for one in 357 or 357 Max in a heartbeat.
They are about as common as an 1895 up here.
You guys are lucky, you have Gunbroker, just punch in 24 357 or Stevens 240 and bang, there's one for sale. I've been looking for both up here for years now with no luck excpet for a 240 on CGN that the wacko wants $1300 for, good luck.
