This weeks episode of The Last Alaskans on Animal Planet, the young trapper Charlie pulled his father's 24 out of a storage barrel, test fires it with the old ammo then goes rabbit hunting for supper. He never mentions Savage or the clambering but the box of Remington ammo he pulled out was .222 and the shotgun shells were 20 gauge.
