How many folks seal their primers after reloading? Some who make 1000's of rounds that may sit for years before use demand it. How does everyone feel about sealing a primer?

Isn't it easier to just store your reloads properly?

Have not felt the need for it in years. At one time we used clear fingernail polish. Guess it worked ok. But really never needed it.

I seal the primers on ammo I intend to carry hunting. I do not seal all the ammo I load. I believe military and factory are both sealed. Hasbeen

Have done it for many years. I prefer “blue” fingernail polish, I used to use “red”.....but “blue” shows-up better for someone that’s colorblind! memtb

It is a complete waste of time and messy. I have NEVER sealed one and have never had a problem with a loaded round in every conceivable hunting condition. On the other hand, a buddy lets a wack-job friend of his reload for him and he coats everything. It gets all over the case head and make the headspace change. It is messy when it comes time to reload. Maybe if you found a very thin lacquer it would be OK but fingernail polish sucks. Don't bother. It's like turning necks for a machine gun- complete waste of time.

“If” you wipe-off the excess with a piece of tissue paper, you will not alter the headspace...while leaving the sealant around the primer/primer pocket contact area. You will however, likely fill-in the manufacturer/caliber designation....don’t see this as an issue.
I only seal my hunting or defense cartridges.....not concerned about the less critical ammo! memtb
