My t3x did not come with the rings that the t3 used to. Can someone give me an idea what fits these? Any compatibility like a Remington 700 or similar? It does have holes drilled along with the grooves

My T3x wears a Recknagel rail and Recknagel mounts/rings. Very pleased with that setup.

Weaver makes bases that fit the pre-drilled holes on the rail. I have a set of original T-3 factory rings that I will let you have very reasonably if you are interested. I have used factory rings on my T-3's with no issues whatever, even though a lot of folks change them out it seems to be more or a "looney" thing rather than a need.

Put a set of the Warne Tikka rings on my most recent Tikka, and I’m pretty impressed with them. They are heavy, but probably not heavier than a rail + rings combo.

Kind of on the ugly side but they work great and are kind of like a beefy Talley are the DNZ Hunt Master one piece ring/bases. Thats what I have on my Superlite and really happy so far with them.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Older Warne rings were on my pre-owned T3. Mounted them correctly installing a Leupold 2-7 Scope. I have not had to fiddle with them since first installation. Would buy another set without a second thought.

Dre- never owned a Tikka so never read those threads. Plus I am not likely to spend 70 bucks just to attach a damn scope. Every other maker provides holes that fit normal 20 dollar mounts. I don't live in the mountains and don't need a feather weight mount, and I don't drop my rifle off the roof onto it's scope so I don't need everything proof either.

Another vote for the Warne rings on Tikkas. That’s what I’ve used on 3 of them, and have no complaints at all.

Mj, If you do a search you will find enough threads on this very topic in the last two years to waste the remainder of your afternoon I’ve been happy with the sportsmatch and that would be my recommendation.

I use the Warne's and Sportsmatch. They both work great, but I prefer the SM's a bit better.

Another vote for the DNZ hunt masters. I got a set for my tikka, now I have them on 2 more rifles I like them that much. They pretty much replaced the talleys on all but my kimber.

Do the Leupold DD's hang over the dovetail?

Sportsmatch if you want to mount direct to the receiver, Tikka CTR rail if you want a low picatinny option.
