I'm going with three other friends to Texas this comming april to hunt for Rio's!! First time visiting this state for me!! We are all pumped!!

Which part of the Great State are you going to be hunting?

I have to get more info, but they tell me we will flying into San Antonio. Tim Herald from Knight & Hale game calls has set this trip up for us.

GOOD LUCK!!!! You will have a blast. My only mistake (I was a bit younger then) was I thought those Rio's should be a push over. They were anything but!! It is pretty country, I hunted around San Angelo. When I first got there I couldn't imagine any turkey living there, but they do. There would be 20-30 birds roosting in a single tree, much different then the easterns. Here's a Texas bird.
