Hopefully that doesn't come across as bragging in any way Sam as that's not how I've intended it. We've both been blessed with good health for the most part and honestly that's worth more than any financial goal or target we could ever achieve.
I didn't take it that way at all Dwayne, glad to hear things are going well for you guys! Happy New Year, been almost too nice of a winter around here so far. Makes us nervous!

My first wife called herself frugal and a financial genius but kept me broke. Funny, I never spent money on what I wanted and was still broke. Five years of single life got me dug out of the problems. Got married again to a true gem and we've lived a good life, donated a lot, helped family members along with saving for retirement. Right now, I'm a few years from retirement but could quit working and we wouldn't sacrifice much, if anything. There's three years cash for living if needed and investments that will give us a decent retirement. Being married to someone who understands the importance of living below out means has been a blessing.

I must confess that I struggle with articulating what I truly mean in a coherent manner sometimes.
Yes its been a very mild winter here too, reminds us of the '80's winters.
We're happy to see it as that should give the local mulie and whitetail herds a bit of a chance to rebound after 3 hard winters in a row. On the other hand it makes us nervous a tad too as that can mean fire season will get sporty in a hurry and last more months.

A good while but it is hard to answer since I can't think about it without thinking how my "lifestyle" would immediately change to fit that situation. If we changed our "lifestyle" and tightened our belts to fit the change in income, a long time.
