My 257 was accurate, just had problems with consistency. That MkV action now wears a #3 Brux 7RM and sits in a McWoody Wby Express, formally the Sako Safari (Wby inlet). It is glassed and free floated with a Timney trigger. Tack driver. Sold the 257 barrel, dies and brass.

On a serious note, the old 7mm STW and 7 RUM chunking 140gr NBT's at 3600 will spank that 257 wby's little ass as far as non-twist straight flat shooting cartridges go.
