Having put hundreds if not thousand+ through a 300WSM 130,150,165,168,180 grainers. Shot fox to Whitetail to Moose. The 300WSM was my primary Mooser. If I were to begin again I'd use Barnes 165 TTSX and do it all quite handily. Efficient - reliable.

I’m having good results with the 175gr LRX in mine. Worked good on a moose.

Killed a lot of Alaskan critters with a 165 TTSX out of my Kimber. From deer to moose.

168gr TTSX Nothing gonna stop it. Like Partitions IME I've never owned a rifle that didn't shoot a TTSX damn well. Near or far.

I'm still a huge Partition fan but as of late (last 4-5yrs) I've been shooting a 150gr TTSX in a 30-06 @ 3040fps and it tears through shhiitt like a hot knife in butter. Incredibly accurate. Nothing is gonna stop it.

Deer-Brown Bear.
Fields-Alpine
5-500yds.
Boolit selection is ALWAYS predicated by RPM/throating/COAL and their collective relationship(s). Less knowing them, all is moot............. The men are talking about killing stuff, not crunching theoretical numbers, sit in the corner and listen. You might learn something. DealinSuck, Pardon my shooting it all. Mebbe dangle some pics? Hint. LAUGHING!.................

Pretty sure we're talkin' Montucky, so 1:10 and 2.85" box confines. I loaded 150 TTSX's for my son's sheep hunt is said rifle. 165 TSX/TTSX is how I'd roll. You're going to want to dig pretty deep on a brownie and possibly break some bone. 180 Partition Gold is another candidate, but like finding hen's teeth these days. Have yet to see an OEM Montucky Whizzum wearing a trite 2.85" COAL latitude. Hint. 'Course I really don't have "that" many of 'em. Laughing!.....................

Montana WSM mag boxes are around 3” IIRC.

The 155 is easily the best pitch,in it's relative mass.
208's will do nice things and the better BC's than that, will peel you away from the throat...due their length.
Rebarrel to 284 and cut to the chase,as it'll simply throttle all things .30cal..................(grin)

You've got a few moves. You can shout and pinch some 208's for R&D. You can swipe my Winny Whizzum and 208 Fodder and go play with come-ups/wind drift(though it's piss flat currently). Or grab a Montucky 7 Whizzum and squirt some 180's,that are laying in wait.
The drop/drift to recoil ratio...will have you mailing it to Shaen in the morning....................(grin)

A SAUM ain't a Whizzum and a Seven/700 ain't a Montucky. 7 ShamWow. 7 Whizzum Montucky. Hint................
