Can't get the link to work. Not sure I want to read it anyway. Probably just piss me off. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Good story. Sad, but true.

It's at www.foxnews.com "Weekend Wimps".

Don't know why the other link won't work, but, it doesn't.

I agree with the sad part, but only mostly agree with the true part. The article talks a little about how expensive hunting and fishing is. Typical flyrod costing $500.00. It sure doesn't have to be that expensive. How many of us on this site started with $500 rods or custom rifles? A couple of hundred dollars and some State land will get you started in either sport.

I believe the main reason the 18-24 crowd isn't hunting/fishing is pure laziness. No instant gratification. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I agree that the article is not bad. I think it's a good illustration of our changing society. Though I don't think the change is all that good. A recent stat that I read stated that middle age women were the fastest growing demographic of hunters and those participating in the shooting sports!
