I just like the "looks" of a 40deg Ackley, ha. "Myself", if I wanted more oomph is a standard case, I think I'd rebarrel to a 26" #2 Shilen in the 280 Sherman. I had a #2 in 30-06 put on a Mountain Rifle and it was wonderful to handle/shoot. I tend to do better with longer barrels but 22" in slightly heavier barrel (Sporter) does best for me. After all, if you don't have the highest BC bullet in each caliber, the biggest looking half rotten fish, and the biggest ego, you aren't jack schitt.
