If it works on the heavy for caliber bullets in a 223, it begs the question of how it would work on heavy for caliber bullets in a 308 Win.

I guess I sold my notes on the 223AI too... but I'm pretty sure I got 3560 fps with the 55 gr NBT bullets and Lever in Lapua cases.

223/5.56 I got 3179 fps with 55 nbt's and 29.5 grs of Lever with a CCI 41 in my 16" barreled Noveske.

77 gr TMK's went 2726 fps with 26 grs of Lever in same Noveske. TAC load runs them at 2677 fps.

Side note for the sticklers, it was 92 degrees and I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, QL was not consulted. smile

Second side note, I can't get the velocity posted by Yondering in my neighborhood, I figured long ago it was our humidity, elevation or just a penalty of being in Okieland but you guys up North always seem to get more velocity with same loads and I'm pretty quick to call it good enough when pressure signs start to show.

Stick generally runs .5-1 grain higher than what I can get by with.

I use Moly on my bolt guns but not my AR's, use too much M193 and was told not to switch back and forth. True?

I'd typically want something heavier.

Typically.

I'm not bothered by your claims. If they are true, you are working with some high pressures.

I think anyone's got a right to get defensive when other folks start armchair quarterbacking. You're usually more of a gentleman, but on this one you're kind of a dick and really have no idea what I've observed in my rifle.

If you want to have some useful input, tweak your QL inputs to match Ramshot's TAC data exactly (meaning powder charge, velocity, AND pressure) for a 24" barrel, then shorten that to a 16" and tell us what velocity it predicts. I think you'll be surprised.
