I figure Trump will offer everything the Ds want and daca to get the wall and it will be rejected, showing how ridiculous theybare, and then he will have no recourse but order it.

Will the pressure ramp up on Trump or Piglousi when the ebt cards arent funded?

The way this usually goes is the leadership drafts back benchers on both sides and works out a deal through them. Usually happens when both sides realize a stalemate serves nobody's interests and having back benchers with no visible ties to the leadership work it out saves face. But I'm thinking Pulosi, and maybe Schumer, are still thinking they can win and neuter Trump once and for all.

I don't know if the Dims will cave. The reason they don't want this wall is because it will be a permanent monument to their caving in and they can't have that.

I think the dems will never give in, and Trump will order it built. That takes balls. It is also a gamble that Trump's supporters would also support that action. The DC crowd is not used to someone willing to do the right thing and making a personal sacrifice. They are banking on him ordering it, and that ordering it will ruin his chances for reelection. I think they're wrong about that.

Here's what I think will happen.... Pelosi will never give in. So Trump will declare a National Emergency and build the wall. Then he'll tell Pelosi that, 'since you won't give an inch, here's what you'll get over the next two years - NOTHING. Every bill you bring to me for my signature will be dead on arrival unless - and ONLY unless - it benefits the country and NOT the dem party.'

Basically render her sorry azz worthless..

He will indeed render her useless, but he will never stoop to the level of the Democrats and publicly reject their proposals before they even offer them.

The Democrats number one goal is to make Trump look bad, thereby insuring that a Democrat wins the presidency in 2020.

Very good illustration of the situation. The Dems need a Gettysburg, a point to turn the loses around. They have been getting "trumped" since 11/16, and have little to show for their efforts. They want a victory, any victory to hold up to their people and prove their relevance. Kavannah was supposed to be their victory, but they lost that one. RBG has them petrified. They would love to have a way to save face and "claim" victory, but they don't see one. Their strategy at this moment is dig in their heals and just say "no" to anything Trump does. They are praying that public opinion swings their way. So far, it hasn't happened, and that's a bigger problem for them than it is Trump.

They do not want the wall for a couple reasons.
1) It will fulfill one of President Trump's Major campaign promises, allowing that to happen will strengthen his base and weaken the Democrats chances in 2020. If the Democrats are to succeed in 2020, President Trump cannot fulfill any more promises, especially a Yuge one like the wall.

2) The Democrats cannot afford to lose any more voters. Abortion is killing off a large part of their future voters and they need to replace them with another form of Permanent Underclass, enter illegal immigrants. Look at the political red vs blue area maps for the last couple elections. The southern border is getting bluer and bluer and growing North with every election. Stopping the influx of their permanent underclass voters will be the death of the Democrat Party, and they know it. They need the illegal immigrant vote to survive.

3) Washington (Democrats and Republicans) has been calling for Border Security and a form of wall for decades. Yet they just can't seem to get it done. Some of these politicians may actually want a wall and want Secure Borders, they just don't want The Outsider, Donald J Trump to be the one to Get-r-Done. The more President Trump succeeds the more everyone in the DC Establishment looks the fool. They are not going to let him have this victory at their expense.

The solution rests with the replacement of Ginsberg.

I would love to see the Pres out on the property of a Texas rancher on the border, pointing to the border saying that the House needs merely to dig a nickel out of the couch to block the hole.

If Cher recognizes the impasse as so ludicrous it can’t be difficult for other brain dead leftists.

Here's my thinking on Trump's strategy.....

At the state of the union address, he will declare a national emergency, to get the wall built. Pelosi will be sitting next to Pence, right over Trump's shoulder......we ALL get to watch her face go into contortions.....squirming and unable to speak out loud. And hopefully, her head explodes, on prime time tv.

Don't know if that is his strategy or just my wishful thinking???

Better move your scenario to N.M., AZ, or Ca....the Texas Rancher needs access to the water on the north half of the river which is the border.

And a LOT of the reasons we have problems today is exactly BECAUSE the GOP is 'too nice'.... Nice guys finish last.. Trump isn't exactly nice - and part of that is why he's winning..

I agree we have 2 years of trying to make PresidentTrump look bad.

As I've said elsewhere, Trump is a master negotiator. Whatever they reject now is off the table later - except at a very high price from the other side.

I highly doubt they'll cave. It's their only play. And they're good at not caving and sticking together. A lesson the conservatives could take from them.

If Nancy was planning on negotiating, why would she have planned the assassination of both President Trump and VP Pence?
