As I stated elsewhere:

I think he may perhaps be a frustrated elderly gentleman who outside of cyberspace does not get an audience.

He has probably run out of people in the real world who will actually listen to him, so cyberspace is his last refuge.

Therefore he comes here to feel like he is heard about all the wrongs of the world.

He is not looking for opinions.

He is only looking for an echo chamber of his own preconceived ideas.

Honestly, it makes me think that my grandfather was a lucky man.

He passed on while his mind was sharp as a tack. (substantial difference there)

He was watching a ball game, sitting in his favorite chair.

He had finished a steak, that was on a TV tray in front of him, fell asleep and simply did not wake up again.

We should all be so lucky.

THE CHAIR IS AGAINST THE WALL.

The Tikka T3 in .308 Winchester is the Glock 19 of the rifle world.

The website is up and running!

My Marlin 17vs was bought within a year or two after Hornady came out with the
17hmr in 2002. It has "punched paper" a total of two times to sight in scopes. Prior
to a west nile outbreak we were inundated by the hundreds of starlings. Dead
centering one of those dirty, nasty birds with 17gr pills was a sight to behold....
"POOF!" It has also taken many coons, possums and crows. This particular rifle
has done a lot more than punch paper! I sincerely doubt that a 165yd kill made
on a crow with the 17hmr could have been accomplished with my .22lr's or my
.22mag.

If one of the 17's were to die, it would probably be the Winchester mag.....not
because of a thing bad about it, but because of lack of rifle models from which
to choose. Savage certainly didn't do the round any favors with the offering they came
up with! I'm a Savage CF guy but was surprised that ANYONE bought their junk
rifle after first handling it......it just wreaked "CHEAP".

The main problem which could cause the demise of the 17h2 is ammo availability.
Hoping it doesn't go the way of the Rem 5mm just because of the lack of ammo
manufacturing.

If sales of 17hmr ammo have gone down, it is ONLY due to manufacturing finally
catching up with demand. The stuff got pretty rare a few years ago.

We should change our politicians
like we change dirty diapers....
and for the same reason.
