Your rifle looks a lot like one I bought a few years ago. Mine was much more battered than yours but it shoots surprisingly well and I have become quite fond of it. (also a 270 Win.) I have the battered but unbroken factory butt plate that I took off mine to install a recoil pad. You can have it free if you want.
