Finally, a Glock I might be able to like due the 1/4" thinner grip. But with only 10 in the mag, the P365 is a far better choice.

It’s a cool concept, essentially a thin, single stack, Glock 19. Should be easy to tote IWB, and very shootable.

Glock has danced around building this in a .45ACP for too many years.

Another cool thought. Would not mind a single stack 21 at all.

Shrink the 41, stretch the 36, just make a nice single stack .45ACP.
They are avoiding that like the plague. Might derail the 9mm train they have bought season tickets for.

But I can see this 48 doing very well. Blacken the slide and I'd grab one.

I feel the same about the slide. Needs to be black.

I'm sure a blackened slide will be out some time this year after the initial rush and I will have one.

With no significant innovation right now, Glock is just filing in the gaps of niche guns. The Thinline Glocks should give them a few years of new models... black color wil probably be next... Hopefully a 45ACP in similar sizes. They’ll eventually build them... if you can be patient. When the 19X came out, it was just a matter of time before an all black version came out. The 10 round mags won’t be going away, as long as certain states have restrictions.

+1.

The G48 and 43X seem to be poor solutions to a problem better solved by the P365. Glock depends on ts loyal fan base to buy the latest Glock regardless of utility - or lack of it. It seems to be a viable business plan for them, so far.

the G45 is a bit different, the 19x seems to have steel sights, and a better trigger on the two copies I examined, better is relative, on a scale of 1-10, the Gen 2-3 triggers were a -1, the G45 is about a 1.5 while the 19X seems to be a 2. I am waiting for rainbow colors next like taurus, you know when you cannot innovate just add some pink to the plastic, maybe even a rainbow color, more gays are getting into guns these days. Gillette and Glock, maybe they could do an ad together? Despite all of this I out shot the Sig 320 yesterday with my gen 3 17, of course its all because of 20 years of indoctrination on that crap trigger, like the Stockholm syndrom sort of. A 10 round 43 is kind of a waste of time compared to the P365.

I think the 48 looks like a pretty good rig, might coax somebody into buying a glock who
otherwise would not have.

I Bought one the other day, so far i like it. Its noticibly lighter and thinner than the G32 i normally carry and for most general purpose carry i dont see why 11rounds wont get you out of trouble

Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I really don’t see these guns as any attempt to go head to head with the Sig P365. I see these guns being viable for the person who just wants a gun for general all-around use, not for concealing in skinny jeans or for fighting terrorists. I can easily see myself suggesting that prospective new gun owners, or those with hands not suitable for double stacks, take a look at one of these. Not everybody wants or needs the smallest gun they can get with a 10 round capacity. I just hope that they didn’t make the recoil spring too stiff on the 48.

The 365 is a great design and kudo's to Sig's engineering team. I am generally not one to speak of ergonomics when it comes to pistols as I look at them as a tool, not a fine leather glove. However...the 365 is short in my hand, just like the G29, G26 and others. No matter how practical or how hard I try, the short and/or fat gripped pistols don't draw my attention. I want a full grip all the way down to my pinky finger and palm of hand. So in that regard, the G48 and G43x make good options for me - and maybe a few others. Now if only I could convince myself 13 rounds in the G23 are not better than 10 rounds of 9mm.

I handled them all at SHOT last week, the sig, G43x, G48, Mossberg...all the new ones. Glock did a good job, and yes it's similar to their other models, as it should be, it did come out of the Glock factory. I like the stainless looking slide though could care less if was black or silver or tan or green. If only they made a gold slide, then I could get a matching gold tooth grill and be really bad ass.

Is that with the 12 round magazine as well?

The 365 is short for my hand without the 12 round magazine
