First thing that popped into my mind when I saw that picture was the line...
"I love the smell of napalm in the morning" I do too. It has a very distinct smell. Dropped on target it has another smell, one that is unmistakable. Smells like..........VICTORY.

Colors be brown on gold, Army Warrant Officer, CW2. CW3&4 were brown on silver. There were thousands of us back in the day. Mebbe 10's of thousands. Originally Posted by jcadejr

Ya I have Yours are prettier than mine. -sniff- Standard issue for most Army aviation units for pilots during the first tour. Second tour they gave me a 1911. One of my buddies got shot down and woke up face down in the dirt with dinks poking him in the backside with bayonets. His shooting arm was under his armor vest, the grip of his .38 in hand. Not inclined to be a POW he pulled the gun as he rolled over and capped the perps, 3 for 3. No second shots required and he got mighty drunk that night in the club. The .38 is adequate for dinks.
