What's a good aftermarket trigger for a Weatherby Vanguard 2? Currently looking at Rifle Basics and Timney.

I have a Timney on my Wby Vanguard, a vast improvement over the factory model. It provides a three-position safety, and installation was a no-brainer. Mine breaks cleanly at 2.5 lbs., perfect for my hunting preferences.

My pastor has a Vanguard and it had a horrible trigger. It maxed out my trigger pull gauge. I put in a Timney and set it to three pounds. He was surprised at what a difference it made in his shooting. It's amazing what people get used to in factory triggers.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Jard also has one. The Timney has a slightly more curved blade than the stock HACT trigger, the Jard is slightly straighter. The HACT can also be modified to have a lighter pull, but I prefer single stage.

I have 3 vanguards. 2 have Timneys the newest didn't need one.
