Looking for some help repairing a rem 788 action trigger stud. I have an action that has it broke all the way off, was looking for some help to get a hole drilled in teh correct area so i can put a threaded stud in. looking at 1/4x28 thread hole and i can then machine a screw down to fit it. Not that bad of a job to do drilling wise i just dont have a milling machine or a machining vise to work with my drill press, and before i scap it or have to spend like $130 to do it though i would put it out there. Thank you

done a few of 788's that had that problem over the years, you are going about it the right way with a threaded stud and mill to fit.
