Nope, it wont, a 260 grainer loafing along at 966 from my black powder powered SAA Colt won't either.

now I see why everyone says that those hot loads feel like a 357, the heft takes it out of it. I thought my 44 mag ruger Blackhawk hunter was hefty but I think this has it beat in the weight dept. Its slick as snot too.

Its slick as snot too. It's got the old three screw action, not the new Blackhawk set up, two pins and a transfer bar. That older system is more conducive to a great trigger puill. DF

I have been looking at having Clements do one of his for me because he has done other work for me and is a great guy and his work is outstanding but has anyone had one of Gary Reeder's .475 or .50 Cal conversion done?
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets

No, but don't think I'd put Reeder's work in the same category as Clements. Just me. DF

He screwed up a revolver for me so bad that I gave it away. His work is tacky and low class.

I have been hunting with a .454 Casull quite a bit the past several years, but that Ruger of dirtfarmers has really reignited my interest in another cap and ball revolver.

Me too! speaking of Casull, I went full candy ass and loaded 300 new cases with the Cast Performance 300gr LBT's at a very comfortable 1350 fps, I still think it will shoot through anything in this country. The Beast is a real pleasure to shoot now.

I've shot over 1000 light loads of a 265 grain bullet propelled by 9 grains of trail boss. Very pleasant load for hunting small stuff and plinking. My primary load is a 300 grain XTP and 31.1 grains of H110. These one's mean business. Very effective on the elk and marmots I've shot with it.
