Scientists are mostly prostitutes for government grants. The way to get a grant is to worship at their alter. It's where our tax payer money goes. They've been doing it for years and the big philanthropical institutions are all ran by ultra liberals willing to fund anything to further their goals. This has been going on for a long time and won't quit anytime soon.

Well Northman, seeing as you are so smart, what composes the greatest level of greenhouse gas? Hint, it ain't Co2.

FWIW, Co2 is necessary as plants breathe in Co2 and exhale oxygen. No Co2, no oxygen and your sorry ass is dead. It's well known that NOAA fudged a lot of numbers to make global warming real.

Climate change is man's doing? Bulls h i t!

"Scientist" has become a loose term for people to use to make them feel smarter than everyone else. They are the modern day version of televangelists and even more crooked.

Great ! Read the book I posted and see what "hundreds of climate scientists, in oceanography, metrology, hydrology, geology, physics" have to say about Michael Mann and the hockey stick data set...

Clearing a bunch of rain forest trees (that convert co2 to oxygen) upset ma natures balance.

Paul, Not much, anymore. I used to respect them a lot more until I found out they lied about research results and doctored stats.

The last liberal scientist I spoke with that pushed me over the edge to question ALL of their pontificating was a physics professor from a prestigious northeastern university who insisted the Norks would never have the ability to launch rockets over Japan, while looking at me like I was so far below him intellectually for even considering the possibility.

Yeah. We saw how that turned out. Blowhard.

Iceland was, in the not too distant past, a thriving agrarian economy with ice free harbors year round. Do you have a corresponding CO2 spike for that time period?

Even if you could show CO2 levels corresponding to temperature fluctuations over the past million years; correlation does not prove causation.

How do we know that the causation in not inverse. Perhaps an ice age causes low CO2 levels through a mechanism we do not understand.

We do know the Earth system has built in corrective activity. As CO2 levels increase, so do organisms which consume CO2. Algae levels in the sea increase as does forest growth. But, of course, forest growth, is a zero sum equation where CO2 sequestration is concerned. Because, over time, any carbon captured by forest growth is released back into the atmosphere via fires, or decomposition.

So all the hysteria over loss of rain forests and loss of O2 generation is just that, hysteria.

Man can and does poison little pockets of his environment. No one can argue with the smoke over LA in the 80's or over Chinese cities today. We are all aware of oil slicks on rivers and toxic dump sights. But these are localized phenomena and have very little to do with overall health of the planet.

Kind of like the pimple on your butt, irritating as hell. But pretty negligible in the great scheme of things.

Unfortunately, in many cases, this is becoming more and more the norm. A lot of this started in the 50s with the budding "environmentalist" philosophy. I saw this from biology and ecology professors who had been indoctrinated in this philosophy when I was in school. It has only spread further and become more deeply ingrained. And because this is a foundational philosophical bias, it is not something they can generally see from the inside.

Notice that when President Trump questions "Global Warming" when we're having record cold winters in some parts of the country, he's derided as an ignoramus who doesn't understand the difference between 'weather' and 'climate'...but...as soon as we have a heat wave or hurricane somewhere, it's described as an indication of "Global Warming" and climate, rather than weather...

Great...another nutjob.

You can put all your faith into the infallibility of man but I’m a realist. Please tell us all about the peer reviewed studies that correlated a direct connection between immunizations and autism. Hint......you can’t because the “scientist” that was responsible for the research admitted it was junk science at best and he lied to push an agenda.

Science is great but it’s the scientists that suck. You want us to believe that once a “scientist” gets his papers declaring him a scientist he loses all political motivation and is beyond reproach? I know far too many “scientists” to believe your ignorant assumptions and based upon your predilection to dismiss out of hand anything and anyone that doesn’t buy your line of bullchit it’s easy to see that you’re not a “scientist”..... at least not one that’s worth a chit. If you had half a fugging clue you’d recognize that science is only as good as the men doing it and not all men care about the results as much as they care about continued funding. 😉

You’re obviously a whack job (they’re very common in the “scientific” community) and your primary function is to excuse mistakes and false conclusions in order to add credibility to your chosen profession. You don’t do any favors to the scientific community by ignorantly and blindly defending stupidity.

Carry on Bill Nye.....I’m looking for a good laugh today and you are delivering in spades. 😂

I guess its all the Massive volcanoes and forrest fires all over the world that has caused CO2 to explode after 1950..

............................You can show all the graphs, charts, stats and temp changes all you want........The climate is always changing, always has been changing, and always will be changing.............The liberal left always says there is a """scientific consensus""" which supports global warming. Let me remind you that scientific fact or facts are not based and should not be based on consensus. Consensus by definition, is merely opinion.

The opinions by all of those who support the idea that man alone has caused our planet to warm via industry and everything else associated with it, which in turn, will lead to our eventual destruction someday, is absolutely a farce, is ludicrous and is a complete lie.

The sun has more control over the earth's weather than man alone could ever possibly have. It is activity on the sun that dictates the weather here on earth.

First back in the 60s or 70s it was global cooling, then came global warming, and now it is called climate change.

Whatever you wish to call it, it is one of the biggest hoaxes perpetrated on the American people and on the world BY THOSE who wish to use their socialist agenda to control all industry and society in general for the sole purposes of much more power and greed.............AKA the demoCRAP party. Time for you to head south Northman!!!
