I shared this commercial on Facebook and wrote the following:
Ya'll please watch this two minute advertisement. My favorite ever. I'm sobbing like a fool.
Tell me your eyes didn't mist and your chest didn't swell a bit. My Bride asked me awhile ago before leaving for church, "Tell me again why we don't watch the Superbowl?" (Or any NFL football, for that matter.) For Hollywood pretenders, NFL posers, and liberal politicians in general: Bite My Ass! I don't look to you for inspiration. I look to everyday Americans as depicted in this Jeep ad. Ones who quietly get up and go to work every day to earn a living and, while doing so, make the world a better place. Ones who look out for their neighbors, the elderly, and those less Blessed than they. Ones who strap on boots in the military or pin on the LE badge to stand between us civilians and evil. Ones who are kind to animals, especially their pets. Just because God granted you the ability to pretend to be other people, the good hands and speed to catch a ball, or the greed for power in politics doesn't make you special to me. If you want to protest...anything...do it on your own time and with your own money. Do NOT kneel in front of MY Flag and expect to sway me to your "cause." I do not respect you, I do not like you, and I will not honor you.
I know this is just an ad, and a very good one, but it somehow, reverently, captures the Spirit of America that I miss and long for.
Although I am a Toyota FJ Cruiser man, because of this ad, I hope Jeep sells a million Wrangers.
