I have successfully used the Whelen before as well as the .35 Rem. I am very familiar with the results I only sold it cause it was a 7600 and bought my .350 Rem. Now I can re-build one like it should be. I noticed that the 7600 action chews up bullets and brass . Load one and unload it a few times and you'll see all kinds of scratches in the bullets and in the cases. Turned me right off even if it was a great caliber. I know there isn't much difference in performance than what I have already but think of it this way. Mod 7 .350, 700 SA .358, 700 LA 35 Whelen. 3 different rem actions 3 beautiful 35's.

Thanks guys for the input!!!

I love the 358 STA... but I would wait till SAAMI standardizes/ accepts it The Norma is very close and is a standard caliber although I would not count on finding ammo locally. As Soon as SAAMI standardizes it Im getting one
