Ah cheerleaders, funny story Afghanistan 2009 the New England cheer leaders show up at FOB Salerno. My buddy was friends with bde PAO and we get on the Blackhawk to go pick them up at COP Herrera enroute to Gardez. Anyhow we get redirected back to Salerno they needed the birds for a mission. We get dumped off at Salerno, get pictures with the cheerleaders. Well that night good ol taliban Johnny rockets the living chit out of Salerno. They troops tasked with protecting those cheerleaders watched as the cheerleaders had an epic meltdown. Crying, incoherent blabbering of I'm too young to die.. I think they went through all the stages of dying minus the dying part. We all got a good laugh about it..
