I hit one HARD this past September, like it was my dong or something. I knocked it completely sideways but it didn't fall, though it couldn't keep up with the rest of the covey and landed in some 1000 foot cliffs a half mile or so away. I glassed for him until dark hoping he'd fall off and land somewhere accessible, but I never saw him again.
