Have a friend asking me to sell a Browning BAR in 300 WSM with the BOSS system for him. These aren't very common out here in AZ and I am not finding any "sold" listings on GB.

-Blued with nice looking wood.
-Condition is excellent, looks hardly used.

Just a ballpark figure to give him would help.

Thanks,
Kent

Is it a safari model? I think they were extra nice on the wood and bluing. I’m gonna throw out $600 unless the boss or chambering affect value up or down much.

No sure on the model, really nice wood and bluing. Picking it up tomorrow, will post a pic or two.

Think I can confirm year made on Browning's webpage.

Thanks

Some like the BOSS. Most don't. Therefore the price will be lower than plain barrel. If you look at new prices, they are well over $1000. With the BOSS you can knock off $300. The $600 to $800 is probably pretty close.

Picked it up today.

A Safari Grade 3 made in 2004.

Just safe handling marks.

I have bought several BAR rifles in the $500 - $700 range. The BOSS system usually brings the price down, not many people want it. I think they came with one with holes like a muzzle break and one that was solid and did not act like a muzzle break. I bought a mint BAR in .30-06 with the BOSS in safari grade for $600, it came with a Nikon Monarch fixed 6 power. That has been about 10 years ago though.

Found a few completed listing on Gunbroker, just not in 300 WSM. Used they have sold for $900-1140. He wants to get the low end of that. Will take a few more pics and create a listing this weekend.

It has the Boss that is also a brake.

Thanks for the input,

Kent
