Well I am looking at buffalo bore deer grenades as a potential factory load i might try. I would think the larger 336 action should be up to the task

SL, I have a 1964 336-44 I bought a few years ago. After a good cleaning the gun shoots and functions very well, never a feeding problem as some have talked about. I shoot this gun mostly with both with high and mid range range loads. My hunting load uses H110 powder and Hornady 265 gr bullets. I prefer to shoot for bone. For target and general shooting I shoot a lot of 240 grain Nosler and Hornady bullets. It rivals my 3030's for the rifle I usually grab when going shooting. tj
