Wow, I’ve got a bunch T/C percussion guns, but nothing worthy of posting pictures of in this thread! Beautiful firearms!
Aint a damn thing wrong with T/C perc. rifles! Post a pic with pride!!

Yeah those craaaazy Germans. Gotta over-engineer everything. I’m sure at the time it was thought a great idea! Besides only rich folks could afford a rifle so what da heck! 🤣. Give em a cool gimmick.
Realistically. Such work, I imagine, was probably done in the infancy of conversions. Some smiths idea of trying to keep things safe

The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
The receiver sight on this 45 caliber Hawken by TC aids in shooting accuracy for me! As long as I follow the old time ways, this flintlock never fails to ignite the powder charge.

And yesterday I finally fabricated Gertrude a proper leather sling!

Looking forward to seeing them mounting rifles soon!!!!
Since my return from the mountings, I just can’t seem to get the chance to go afield! 😟.
I even set up my canvas diamond fly and sat under it for a while. Pleasant weather today!

Found a post on here from 2011 where I was looking for a left-handed Hawken. Its been a long and curvy journey but finally found one that suited me just right. This one will be a user for me for a long time. It is supposed to hit my doorstep tomorrow. 58 caliber and just what I wanted. Some youngster named Bergmann built it. And Kaywoodie helped me find it.
And this one pictured below is my 54 right-handed Hawken. Its accounted for some real nice deer over the years and is a very good shooter. It may not get as much time now.
