Was in a LGS today and they had a nice condition 416 m700 KS safari (stainless) for a very reasonable price. If anyone is looking for such a critter, pm me.

I am getting old enough that a .416 KS sounds like it might be "too much of a good thing" for any situation that I am likely to be found in...

Low round count I would imagine.

I just picked up a LH KS 375. Haven't got to the range yet but will this next R&R. I'll bet a KS in 416 won't leave any doubt that it went off when you pull the trigger.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Low round count I would imagine. Very, from the looks of it!

Reminds me of a recent post regarding a guy selling one of the big boomers. Rifle and box of cartridges with three empties. Prospective buyer asked seller if he only shot it three times ? Seller said "No. He was the third owner..." On a more practical side, for the right price, might not be a bad donor to have rebarreled to something more practical like .300H&H. Should already be set up for 3.600" COAL....

Interesting, I ordered the exact same rifle about 10-14 years ago from the Remington Custom Shop. Never shot it and sold it a few years after owning it. Wished I had filed away the serial number to see if it was the same rifle.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Not sure if it is same rifle. However, there is a LH .416 Rem KS listed on GI for sale. Last picture shows a shadow on the butt stock of where previous owner had a slip on recoil pad added over the factory recoil pad, presumably to soften the recoil. Still think that would make a good donor for a lightweight, "do all" in .300H&H...
