They gave me a rod and reel with a bell sinker tied on it. Grandmom was on standby back at camp to watch me when I got tired of “fishing”. Dad finally had to drag me off my big rock I had sat on most of the day casting after 9 hours with no bites, no breaks, and no nap. Apparently our little guy inherited my love of fishing because he’s always ready to go and will go catfish all night with me if I let him.
