A bit of sugar can calm down that fire. Finger, to tongue tip.

As has been noted wash hands after as well as before working the hots. Don't ask how I know.

Our daughter called poison control after working hot peppers, her hands were burning. The told her to soak them in milk.

Yeah, I happened to wipe my eye, Monday night. Thankfully, I'd washed thoroughly, although it still burned for a bit !

BTDT too !

High fat dairy products like ice cream work as well and tastes better.

Another thing is saladitos, which is salted fruit. We would stick them in a lemon or lime wedges to suck on.

Found old bag of fettuchine and a jar of alfredo sauce (use by 2/20/14) in the pantry.

Had some fresh Italian sausage, so I threw it in the fryin’ pan.

Mixed the pasta and sauce and enjoyed the sausage on the side!

It was all good on this cold sleety evening. Finishing my wine as I compose this addition.

Home made sloppy joe's, with some some homemade pickles on top with a roasted jalapeño on the side and a cold brew. Some fresh made guacamole with fresh made restaurant style chips.

We were out and about (caught a movie and lunch) so frozen pizza tonight but the best frozen I have ever had. I started a small pot of chili leaving the beans out this afternoon. We will hit a play in the city early tomorrow afternoon. Back home I'll throw the chili on the cooktop, toss in the can of beans and be eating 20 minutes later.

Thai chiles are the best. Had a nice stand of them for a couple years 'til the whiteflies got 'em.

Sean,

What are you paying for Chuck Eye out there? They're expensive here now, ever since they've been "discovered". $6/lb and up. Sometimes $8 or $9/lb in the mucky muck stores.

Well, this is for tomorrow, but put a 13.5 lb packer brisket on the smoker over some pecan wood about 45 min ago. Grate temp is right at 225 and meat temp is already to 93 degrees, so I'm off to bed for a few hours, will be up to check it in a few.

Will foil wrap at 155 or 160 and get it to 200 or so before pulling for a rest. Gotta work in the morning, so I've got to put this monster on autopilot.
