20 Ga ammo is pretty scare in this part of the country... I have stashed a few boxes of WW 1 1/8 oz loads of # 6 shot... I used a similar load for many years in 12 ga. guns, and it did a good job... Is anyone making this short magnum load today????

1-1/8oz loads Yes, though I have found that I get better patterns with 1oz loads.

There are 1-1/4oz 20ga loads too. I have never not killed what I hit with 1oz loads.

The 20 ga "baby magnum" is a staple in manufacturers' inventories, pretty much everyone makes them. I have on hand a handful of boxes of them in #5 for pheasant hunting. I find the extra pellets help fill out patterns with this shot size.
I'm pretty sure I have killed everything I have hit with a shotgun no matter what the shot weight but unfortunately I can't say everything I have ever hit was retrieved. Heavier shot loads with larger pellets seem to lessen the losses for me but there still is the occasional one.

Thanks, I will have to check around... I have a couple 20's that have hardly been used.. I bought them when my late wife took up bird hunting.. Never used them much after her passing..

I love hunting with the 20ga and I am still fairly young, at least in my mind.
