OK, I'm gonna try you guys...Sako has on their website a choice of Bavarians in .223 with a 1 in 8 twist. Nice pics, new postings of their line-ups.
Now the burning question is do you guys know anybody-dealer- that might have one?
I need one bad and can find zero evidence that any have ever been imported into this country.
Who knows where I can find one?

I can’t answer your question, but I have an Sako 85 Varmint chambered in 223 with an 8 twist. The major limiting factor on the XS action is mag length.
If you put Taco Bell sauce in your ramen noodles it tastes just like poverty

I've got one of those in 8 twist still in the box. I can't tell you how good the wood is because the tape has never been broken. Thing is I'm in the middle of a messy divorce right now and liquidating what I can. Rather than see the wife take half I'd sell it quick for $800 if you're interested. Win win the way I see it. The only downside of my rifle is it doesn't exist, none of that is true and good luck with your search. 85's are excellent.
