I recently bought a set of 45-90 dies from Lyman.
The seater stems sent with the dies both look like they would be appropriate for SWC or spitzers. i tried both stems on some 405 cast bullets and both stems cut a ring into the nose of the bullet,,,one is higher and one is lower.
I cant find anything from the Lyman website.
I am thinking I need a round nose type seating stem.
Are they available some where? Thanks.
I am MAGA.

If I remember correctly you have a lathe. If it were mine I would chuck it up and alter it to fit your bullet.

The marks should be no problem when shooting.
Might look up doing some j-b weld or other epoxy to make it fit your bullet.

I had the same problem with a 44 Special/Magnum seater on my Lyman #429421 cast bullets. I just chucked it in my cordless drill and worked on it with some 400 grit sandpaper. Problem solved.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.
