I love hunters and skinners. On page 211 under the heading “ Hunters can be Art Knives” there is a picture of S.R. Johnson’s interpretation of RW Loveless “Lambs”. The gut hook knife doesn’t do much for me, but the other two. Wow! It didn’t take long to find out at $8k to $10K that I'd have to live with the Johnson I was born with, and that those two weren’t going to happen. I asked Gene if he would do a repro of some Loveless Lambs........ Gene does not do bolsters, so the two with the giraffe bone scales were his interpretation of Loveless Lambs. The one with the green canvas micarta is also a Loveless inspired knife. I asked Gene if he minded that I called it my Ingram P&C pig & Coon! IIRC, He indicated he did not mind. ya!
