Stumblingblocks to Revival

"And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
(Isaiah 57:14-15)
Every age since Innocence in the garden of Eden has ended NOT in revival, but apostasy. EVERY ONE! That does not mean that there cannot be a revival in the latter days of the church age, but just not a universal or national or even city-wide one.
After 1,500 years of mosaic law, Israel was so far away from God they were living their religion out in traditional ritualism. Sounds just like today. The average church today is removed from real Bible preaching and teaching. Teachers having itching ears -- turning away from the truth.
But I do believe that God is still interested in reviving some individuals -- people with a humble spirit and a contrite heart.
What hinders revival?
1. An Unforgiving spirit between brethren. We are to love the brethren with a pure heart fervently.
2. Unconfessed sin in your life. If we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive.
3. Unbended knees in prayer. Pray without ceasing.
4. Unthankful for God's blessings. Romans 1:21-22.
5. Unkind treatment of a loved one. Tender hearted, forgiving one another.
6. Unconcern for the souls of men. He that winneth souls is wise. Ye shall be witnesses unto me.
7. An Unbroken Will in surrender to the Lord. ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER.
Are you a stumblingblock to your own revival? Or to another's?
Humble yourself.
Repent of your sin.
Surrender to God's will.
