Just hearing, he is now officially a suspect. filing a false police report, class 4 felony. what took them so long?? Probably what took so long was the State Prosecutor recusing herself from the case. Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has recused herself from the investigation surrounding the alleged attack on “Empire” star Jussie Smollett, her office said Tuesday.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the decision to recuse herself was made to address potential questions of impartiality based upon familiarity with potential witnesses in the case,” a spokesperson for Foxx said in a statement.
First Assistant State’s Attorney Joseph Magats is set to act as State’s Attorney in her place in the case, according to NBC Chicago. None of them want to get their hands dirty with this case. Not the D.A., not the police. Not the Press... But it's gone past where they can back away and not face fallout themselves.

I saw in one of the news articles where Smollett tried to use his brothers ID when pulled over for DUI a few years ago.
He's been a shady little sh-it long before this.
