Get angry at Oregon's laws for allowing this to happen, not for a company supporting local law enforcement when they called up and asked "can we use your saws?". I think folks are reading way to far into this at this point. If you don't want to buy a benchmade now...that is certainly your choice.
Maybe they can help the cops when confiscation begins too, because after all they are just supporting local law enforcement. If a company selling hunting knives ain't bright enough to know their consumer, they don't need my business.

I'll not support a company that makes political donations to anti-gun liberals. Especially one that does that after making their fortune on military sales and from being sold in gun shops. Very hypocritical of Benchmade. Very telling. So glad you approve of my choice to no longer buy them. Knock yourself out. Maybe if you try hard, you can make up the difference for them.

Maybe we arent as large of their customer base as we think..... just a question really on my part. They seem to be a successful business so I am sceptical of their stupidity. But companies have made bigger pr & marketing blunders for sure , so possible they are fck’d up.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

Remember when the government sold surplus rifles? Um, you can still buy surplus guns through CMP.

I should be better about vetting company politics - I'm far from the first guy to jump on the boycott wagon. However, when a company overtly and without fear cuts up guns on freakin' Facebook I enthusiastically draw the line.
Yep, I use Apple products and for my needs there is no suitable alternative, but Apple wouldn't have to go nearly as far as cutting up guns on the internet for me to cut the cord.

Maybe we arent as large of their customer base as we think. I've wondered about that myself. They are also sold in a lot of hiking/kayaking/etc. type stores, as well as huge online retailers like knifecenter.com. I'm sure fudds also buy a lot. I'm not sure how big their really pro 2A base is. Just like I was surprised years ago by an optics repair business owner who told me that the biggest market for high end binos was birdwatchers. I would have thought it was hunters.

...
I may not be able to completely rid myself of the trash, until a better option comes along... But my dollars, like my votes go to people and companies that support the Constitution and 2nd Amendment when I have a choice...
... This is where I am at. At a bare minimum, I can vote with my dollars for those companies and organizations that support me and my beliefs. That obviously is NOT Benchmade... As far as their FB response, B.S. ... Even in the backwoods of Kentucky, a 4" grinder and a cutting torch have never been known as "specialized tools". BM is dead to me like the NFL...
