That's too bad. It seems just like the other day, that you were telling us how good the laws there were. I hope benchmade didn't help in their demise too much.

So does Leopold. Hell, there were no good choices in any of the last elections. I voted for the least offensive of the group and lost by huge margins.

I am not attempting to defend Benchmade and I have not made up my mind about them. I will wait and see what they say. There are two Benchmade knives in my home. There are a lot more Kershaw. There may never be another Benchmade. I am glad the automatic I carry is legal here but I would be just as happy carrying one of my Kershaws instead.
I am waiting for their call.

I also am not real sure I am against what they did. If they were just a bunch of junk, and missing SNs they just did LE a favor and saved some of my tax dollars.

Reading comprehension must be lacking. OCPD had to destroy them by law and court order. These were not fine firearms, they were illegal crap.

Reading comprehension conscerning their Dem donations? That’s all I need to know.

We do have some good laws. Concealed carry and open carry are still supported. We can even CC in schools. The liberals are doing their best to lower the quality of life and remove our rights just like everywhere else.

I'll be interested to hear what they say. To be honest the Gun cutting really doesn't bother me to much as I suspect they were stolen defaced guns but I am pretty pissed to find out there one sided political donations, of course they are free to donate to whom they please but at the same time I'm free to do business with whom I please and I sure don't like doing business with a company that supports politicians who support gun control.

I don't really know enough about why the PD did what they did with destroying the guns to offer much of an opinion.

What I do know is that when someone takes to social media with pictures of destroying firearms, it's usually done as porn to the anti-gun liberal followers that would have government destroy all our guns. The commies get off on that.

It was a clear mistake to put any of it on social media. That much is really clear, looking back today. I bet the folks at Benchmade agree with me on that.

I personally have 6-8 Benchmade knives here that I own. Bought a couple at a very decent local gun shop. Bought some more online.

I'm not anti-Benchmade. I'm just alarmed that they support so many anti-gun liberal politicians... Like Udall and Heinrich. Those guys are true bottom feeders.

Perhaps even more alarming is that there were no donations to strong 2nd Amendment republicans. It seems that a company that claims to be such strong supporters of the 2nd would surely toss some money to those fighting FOR our right to Keep and Bear Arms.

but, maybe profit is what it's all about, and they had slack resources and wanted to bump revenue?

i don't know. but would have thought the local police would have auctioned all saleable guns for revenue.

i mean, there's market demand. why not allow the police to sell confiscated guns back into the marketplace?

i've bought guns from sheriff & police sales. they check to make sure the buyer is certifiable, or worthy of the sale.

i mean, used guns do take away from new gun sales. so the less used guns, given demand, then the new gun sales increase.

Man Alive! if the cutting, sawing, and melting was going to happen anyways, why would anyone stand on the sidelines when the potential for profits, or at least the increase in utilization of plant labor could occur. that is, businesses have to compete.

but, the real question is why didn't the police/Sheriff order a contract sale through a legitimate auction company to bring in revenue for the operation of the department?

apparently they're getting all the revenue they need from the taxpayers at the end of a pistol barrel?

so, just chop up the perfectly legitimate guns, and allow the citizens to buy new guns? is that it?
