Has anyone tried a 10/22 17 HM2 barrel? Any accuracy tests?

To not answer your question;

I've got/had four of Beyer's barrels. A factory contour, two 0.7??" and a 0.920" contour.

They have all fed & functioned well (all in 22 LR I will add).

No complaints, except the factory contour barrel had an incredible change of POI with the addition of a suppressor. If a suppressor is not in your future and you were chasing the ultimate ultralight 10-22 it would be a good choice.

If weight is not a concern and looking for the best accuracy, I would look at an all steel barrel... Kidd, Fedderson (do they even make a 17 HM2?), or VQ, over a an aluminum shrouded barrel.

I spoke to Clint (Beyer) and I have no doubt if there was an issue He would do the right thing. He replaced the factory contour for me at no charge.

No Beyer experience here, but i do have a Volquartsen in mach2, and a second gun by magnum research in mach2.....both carbon fiber tubes. They shoot pretty decently, and quite light to pack around. The VQ prefers Eley &/or Remington (same stuff) ; the Magnum Research is pretty fond of a recent batch of Hornady. Zero problems feeding, and either will pretty much keep all shots touching at 50 yards easily.
