You didn`t mention a barrel twist rate. I would respectfully suggest you look at the high BC .25 cal bullets Blackjack bullets are offering, but you would need a 7 to 8 twist barrel for them. You could still shoot the 100 grners, but you would have more bullet options with this twist than the standard 10.
Neck size would depend on cases used to neck down. Thats up to you, but you could ask the barrel maker/smith for advice.

Im some what kinda new to wildcats. and im wanting to build a 25-300 wsm on a Savage model 12 stainless short action small shank.
i have a few questions here. im wanting to put a shilen 26inh varmint barrel on it. they offer this chamber of 25-300wsm with a neck turn of .264 and .287 which one do you think i should go with?
i will be using 270 wsm brass to form from. and be shooting a 100 grain nosler ballistic tip. Do anything but that version. You're already screwed just on bullet selection or lack thereof, let alone forming brass...etc. Bail.....

I have a 25-300wsm and it shoots tiny groups with the 115 BTs.
If you want one, then do it. Case closed.
