Thinking about purchasing a new Nosler 48 Long Range in either a 28 Nos or 300 Win Mag. Does anyone have one of these?
If so, how do you like it and does it meet the accuracy claim?
Seems to me every time I see a used Nosler up for sale is just sitting there with no interest.

Thoughts appreciated.

You mean this one.
Accuracy test with prescribed Nosler Ammunition. Guaranteed 3/4” or better 3-shot groups at 100 yards, or 1" for belted magnums and cartridges 35 caliber and up.

Guess it depends on the definition of prescribed Ammunition. More than likely it’s their 60-70 bucks a 20 ammo. 😀

My buddy has one of the Nosler rifles in 280AI. It is a solid rifle for the money that does as advertised. I reload for it and the accuracy is not an issue. I like building my own rifles, he would rather purchase a semi custom like the Nosler. I wouldn't be afraid of one if it is what you are looking for.

My only Nosler rifle is a 26 Nosler Liberty. It groups 3/4" (or less) with both handloads and more than one kind of Nosler factory ammo.

Makes sense.

I did luck up on a fire sale, got a 700 BDL in 7RM for $400. Barrel and trigger were toast, had mostly steam and water damage, wood was OK as was the action.

Added a Shilen SS 26" barrel and Timney 501 trigger. Did the wood work myself.

So, maybe $1,000 to $1,100 in a half MOA 26 Nosler.

Don't see those kinda deal everyday. If I had to buy an action, etc. the semi custom Nosler would be the best deal.

Damn that’s even worse. 😅 1.047” for 3 shot guarantee with $ 3-3.50 each ammo. I am not impressed. Cooper betters that and only states match grade ammo.

Model 48 Long-range Rifle Includes:

Nosler Model 48 Custom Action

Stainless Match-Grade Shilen Barrel

Manners MCS-T Elite Tac 100% Carbon Fiber stock

Glass & Aluminum Pillar Bedding

Removable Muzzle Break / Thread Protection

Hinged Floorplate

2-Position Rocker Safety

Timney Trigger

Cerakote All-Weather Finish

Guaranteed M.O.A. Accuracy with prescribed Nosler Ammunition

If I had a 48 that didn't shoot, I'd give them a call, after I checked the bedding, made sure it wasn't the scope, etc, etc....

My $1,000 put together rifle shoots a solid MOA., half MOA with some loads, at 400 yds. But, it has a premium 26" Shilen tube, glassed and free floated by me. So, I know what I have.

Plain and simple, buying a rifle over some pie in the sky accuracy guarantee is just plain foolish.
I have Remington’s, Ruger and Winchester with factory tubes that will shoot 3 into an inch @100 easily after the flaws were removed.
Got 3 Coopers that easily beat the guarantee. But they weren’t bought for the guarantee, they were bought because I liked them.

Try 6" to 9" groups with the 28 Nosler Long range rifle

Yada yada yada....Bushnell LRHSi then New Nightforce scope same patterns their lab concurred with my findings it was F'ed up and shooting patterns not groups....mag contrains are an abortion from the get go as I said if you want a 28 Nosler run from Nosler rifles

I'll give them an A for customer service I asked for a full refund and received it. But hundreds of dollars and my time wasted trying to get it to shoot

My Nosler 30’06 rifle shoots sub MOA with several loads. Just put 5 of 5 165 nosler ballistic tips at 2900 FPS, in 1.35” at 200 yards. That’s good enough “minute of deer” for me.

Yeah, that's good shooting. That bullet will punch a hole in a critter.

Dvdegeorge here bought one that he had to send back. It produced buckshot patterns not rifle groups. Nosler coulndt begin to figure out why and he ended up getting a refund
