Incumbent R President presiding over a strong economy and touting his Foreign Affairs expertise.

Two weak Primary opponents who generated zero interest.

Fifteen candidates in the Dem Primary won by George McGovern who out libbed the other Liberals in the field.

Dems had to replace the VP Candidate when Eagleton’s Psychiatrist office was burgled and his records made public.

Nixon won with the largest popular vote margin in history and won 49 states in the Electoral College.

The VP, Spiro Agnew, was forced to resign over criminal acts. Replaced by Gerald Ford.

Nixon forced to resign over lying and coverup of illegal actions by his re-election committee

Some similarities to 2020, maybe?

Gene, I was at the AZ State capital yesterday for and event.

Saw a car in the parking lot with a NIXON/AGNEW sticker on the bumper.

I almost took a picture of it. Wish I had.

Not really. The whole Nixon/Agnew stuff was based on facts whereas this issue with Trump is all a made up HOAX

I can see President Trump winning in a landslide due to the economy and voters seeing the socialist crying wolf all the time.

I worked on that campaign for Nixon. Guess I was a little naïve. Nixon was a mean self centered SOB. Look up narcissist and you'll see a photo of Tricky Dick. Yes, he was a crook.

From your mouth to God's ear - but until and unless it happens, that is only a hope - not a correlation. Reports are claiming more than 15 dem candidates so far (some say as many as 50, but I doubt it), so there is that. Whether or not they are all weak candidates remains to be seen.

Isn't narcissism one of the entrance requirements for national politics?

Spiro Agnew was involved in business dealings with a local businessman/gambler/pawn shop owner/race horse owner/oil exploration company owner and visited with him at his home here a time or two while VP. My dad knew the local man very well too and had since they were both young men. Dad and him worked construction and roomed together on a government project in the early '50s. Dad said he was the biggest thief and most crooked person he'd ever known.

He said the room they shared was fully furnished and when they gave it up this man stole everything thing that belonged to their landlord that he could get his hands on. They made real great money for those times working on that project but he still would steal whatever he could where ever he went regardless how cheap. He'd even shoplift stupid cheap stuff like toothpaste, shaving supplies, shampoo, etc., with hundreds of dollars in his wallet. Dad said he finally had to quit going anywhere with him besides to work out of fear that he would get implicated too if he was with him if he ever got caught stealing.

He did screw up when he stole the stuff from their landlord though. He forgot and left his shotgun in the room they rented and when he went back to get it the elderly landlady told him she would be keeping it until her bed linens, towels, washcloths and everything else he took was returned.

Nixon was probably the biggest crook ever elected to the office of president, and that includes any Democrat. He didn't trust anybody, and nobody could trust him.

Nixon's economy wasn't that great, as I recall.

Your "zero interest" comment doesn't ring true, and with the current style of media, will be fixed anyway.

The official word at this point from the dems is that 20 candidates will be allowed. I'd call that a near miss.

Any of you responding to this troll post that actually thinks this liberal POS is asking a question, should be ashamed of your lack of perception. He's a liberal, pshit slinging turd, trying to spread BS around as much as he can. Don't respond as though you are answering a question, throw rocks at his commie @$$!
